The official implementation of a consumption tax on the electronic aerosol industry in November 2022 marked a significant milestone, signifying China’s entry into a new phase of compliance and health. It also indicated the basic implementation of core regulatory policies, leading to a further reduction in regulatory uncertainties within the industry.

However, looking at the industry’s development from the current standpoint, after more than a year of steady compliance-driven growth, various uncertainties such as product iterations, market preferences, and policy changes continue to drive ongoing industry restructuring. Outdated players are likely to be phased out, with only enterprises that closely follow market trends having the potential to establish a stable position.
